Sara's bridal shower was so much fun. Sadly I didn't take many pictures. But I did get this one of her opening the gift from her mom. It is a box full of candles that you light on your various anniversaries, each one is a different color and had a special meaning. It is really neat, and of course Sara cried. I just love Sara's reactions, they are priceless! I love that girl and couldn't have asked for a better sister in law, Chad did good.
A long long time ago on a black Friday deal I bought tickets for Oklahoma! The 5th Ave decided to cancel Oklahoma! and switched out the tickets for Aladdin, which was making it's first appearance. Before the musical we got together with JP, Dani, Mom and Dad and had a nice dinner at a local place. I don't recall the name but the food was pretty tasty.
The musical was very colorful, the actors and actresses did a great job. I think everyone enjoyed themselves. I know I did. The architecture at the 5th always amazes me! So beautiful!
Every summer Dad has a Friends and Family BBQ out at his place. On my way there I was distracted by these two people acting strange on the side of the road, I decided to join them. After finding a few geocaches with Pamela and Jeff we then headed to dads. He makes us all food, we play games and lots of visiting goes on. This year we had fish and chips and a bunch of other yummy stuff. The onion rings were delicious! A bunch of us played croquet. And I'm pretty sure fun was had by all!
A couple years ago Frost Doughnuts was at church during one of the series they had. I don't really recall what the sermon was about, but I do recall thinking I would like to go try out Frost Doughnuts, so when Groupon came up with a discount for a dozen doughnuts I couldn't help but purchase it. The doughnuts were fabulous, the salted caramel chocolate one was by far my favorite. And the lemon Bismark was quite tasty as well! I do intend to go back next time I find a good deal. I love that they are a local bakery, they cook the doughnuts fresh each morning and when they run out they are done for the day. I just want to say yummy one more time! YUMMY!
Richard and I have been wanting to visit the Cougar Mountain Zoo for years now and have just never made it out there. So when Richard came home saying there was a geocaching event at the zoo and we should go how could I say no? The zoo is much smaller then what we are used to but they do a good amount of research there with the animals that they do have. We had a great time and I picked up a cute little coin from the geocaching event as well. While I enjoyed the zoo I think I'm much more likely to spend that much to visit one of the larger zoos in the area, if I find a coupon or something though I wouldn't be against visiting again. Good times!
