Our hockey team headed out to Cheney Saturday morning, and when I say our hockey team I really only mean four of us as the rest of the team all ended up with prior commitments. We called our team there Ravens and Friends as most of our team was made up of people from Spokane.
The Cheney hockey team was pretty brutal, very dirty, likes to check. All those fun things that aren't really allowed in women's rec hockey. The refs in the first game were not calling half of what they should so that really just made the game not nearly as enjoyable as it should have been. None of us were all that excited to play again on Sunday and that is just not normal, not normal at all! But we played the second game on Sunday, the refs that day were much better and they got some major penalties for checking. I have no intention of ever going and playing there again and from what I've heard that's a common reaction from anyone that has gone there to play. Kind of sad really.
For Christmas Richard gave Dani a gift certificate to Vertical World in Everett so she could take the Introductory to Indoor Climbing class with us. Chad and Sara joined us for the class and we all learned the basics of top rope climbing.
We learned how to tie the figure eight knots, belay properly and a few tips on actual climbing. Fun was had by all and quite a few of us are quite taken on the climbing thing.
Chad, Sara, Richard and I all signed up for monthly membership and have been going 2-3 times a week to climb since the class. Fun fun!

I've been working on more puzzles this year, they seem to have a calming kind of affect for me. Life may be stressful sometimes but to just focus on one small little piece at a time and the slight color variations seem to take my mind off of whatever is going on. I like to sit on the sofa while Richard is watching TV and enjoy his company while putting together a puzzle. They are lots of fun and very relaxing for me.
When Adam and Valerie were visiting, Valerie and I made the two smaller puzzles (100 and 300 pc) that Richard gave me for Christmas. After she left I did the larger puzzle (500 pc) over a couple nights. Aren't they beautiful! I just love the Thomas Kincaid pictures!
After I finally talked myself into breaking those down I started the Lion (750 pc). I've had this puzzle and a few others for so many years, I bought them at Walmart in Moscow, ID while I was still in school, yea, that long! The lion has been by far one of the more difficult puzzles I've done in awhile, everything was a similar shade of lion. I loved building it, I loved taking it apart and putting it away. Now it's onto another puzzle, not sure which one I'm going to do yet, but the box from Walmart came with 10 puzzles so I have a few to choose from!
Well, I managed to make a 500 pc seal puzzle before putting the pictures on the computer, so here is another one!
And after that I did one of American Lake (750 pc) but I forgot to take a picture. How sad (I took a picture of the picture so you can see it)! Then I did one with bears in a storage chest (750 pc). And that was followed by a fairy on a swan (500 pc). I do love the puzzles but I think I might make them a little to fast, at this rate I'll run out way to soon. I have a few more coming in the mail, one is a 2000 pc puzzle, that should take awhile!
Just finished one of the 1000 piece puzzles that just came in the mail. It has butterflies and mushrooms and really awesome colors! I took a couple closer up pictures on this one so you could see it's awesomeness.
I started a new job, one to waste my time on at home. I'm pretty good at wasting time so why not get paid to do it? I'm now working as an expediter at ChaCha! It's a fairly easy job, I answer questions and get paid 2 cents for each one I answer. They have it set up so answering is really quick and easy, sometimes it can take just a couple seconds and other times it takes a tiny bit longer. If I can't find the answer I just send it on to a specialist who does a little research and sends the answer back as quick as possible. ChaCha is all about getting the answers back to the customer as quick as possible. It's kind of fun, I've earned right around $83 since the 14th and I just waste an hour or two on the weeknights and a few more on the weekend days.
